Conscientious Fashion. Look Good, Feel Good
To Feel Good, Do Good
When you shop with us you are saying NO to fast fashion. You are doing good!
No Fast Fashion. Period.
Bia Ullman is committed to slow fashion and sustainable design. We take the time to get each design right, both in look and quality. We are devoted to combating the growing and yet often unrecognized trend of fast fashion in offering only small batches of high-quality products, made to last, handmade by local experts, for the fashionable and conscientious consumer.
ECO-Friendly and Ethically Sourced
Ethical Fashion is not a mere trend at Bia Ullman - We believe in zero slave labor, sustainable sources, and a break from horrendous fashion practices. All Designs are proudly made in Brazil, upholding ethical production and sourcing practices.
In selecting the fabrics, we place a lot of importance on how it is produced and the extent of its impact on the environment, such as how much water and toxic chemicals are used. We are committed to continuously improve and educate ourselves daily on sustainable production methods so we can make our pieces as green as possible.
Our swimwear line is made with Santa Constancia fabric and we use Biodegradable Amni® Soul Eco® nylon – a Brazilian development by Rhodia-Solvey, in which case Santaconstancia was a pioneer launching knits and woven fabrics with this new technology.
We work exclusively with small factories with whom we’ve built close relationships. All production is carried out in Brazil, in ISO and GOTS-certified factories.
We believe in supply chain transparency as the ethical treatment of workers is as important to us as our environmental impact. We use accredited factories because we care about the people who help make our products. We want to make sure that factory employees are working in fair and just conditions and are not being exploited in any form. We regularly travel to our factory partners to make sure the processes are overseen and are compliant with ethical production standards.
